lifestyle- confidence problems

So today's post is about being a teenager. I'm sure a lot of you reading have felt, or feel, insecure about yourself, felt like your ugly, and get very upset and depressed about it. (If you don't, that's great, it doesn't mean your vain, it just means your confident). You look at that girl in your class, and think: "why can't I be like her? She's gorgeous, I love her hair, why can't my hair be like that? She's so pretty, why would anyone like me when they could like her instead? I felt like that as well, and still do a lot of the time. But then I thouhgt, would I want someone who only cares about looks to like me? No, not really. Some of you might be thinking 'but this girl has a great personality as well.' Yes, they might do, in fact, in this blog post I've pretty much described all my friends, and I feel disgusting next to them. But then I realised, here I am, trying to be like the pretty, popular, great girl. Well, she doesn't try to be like other people, she just tried to be herself. What I'm trying to say is, instead of trying to be someone else, be yourself, because then people might see how great you really are. Instead of covering yourself in makeup, learn to like your face how it is, because how can you expect other people to like you if you don't like yourself? Instead of pointing out your flaws, embrace them, they make you who you are. Because I bet people wouldn't notice them if they weren't pointed out. I know it's hard, because I must've heard this 100 times before, but it really helps. I've been hating myself a lot lately, but then I've had help, and now I've realised, there are so many people out there who haven't been so lucky to have someone supporting them, so I thought I'd share what I've learned with you guys, and hope that, if you found it helpful, you can share it and help anyone else who needs it.
